Over the last few months, we have heard a lot about the idea of withdrawal of US Troops from Syria.  I am not well informed enough to decide if that is the right course of action.  But based on what Dr. Silinsky describe as the normal operating procedures for ISIS/ISIL – I would be hesitant.  We have often heard that “Islam is a religion of peace” but yet, Islam is used as a rallying cry of Jihadis.  Regardless of if we think Islam is a religion of peace, the progenitors of the Caliphate do not.  In the end, that may be the only thing that matters - What they think!

Dr. Silinsky goes through what the members of the Caliphate say and do to come up with an active profile of how they will behave.  In his book, he looks at various angles and writings on the subject.  His research is exhaustive.  And yet he is able to bring to a level understandable by all.

In today’s politics, we are often told what to think by people who have an agenda.  There is a push to open borders to let everybody in.  There is a huge problem with that.  Mark Silinsky describes how that policy is currently destroying Europe.  If you listen to the news, you can see the EU is on the brink of either martial law or complete collapse.  And that is the goal of the Jihadi that lives there.

Can we afford to have Sharia Law in the United States?  No.  What makes this county, what defines its existence, is that the law is approved by a representative government.  So that “We the People” have a say in what happens.  If we allow Sharia neighborhoods, like what has happened in Europe, we too may expect a 2-ton truck to go on a drive through Old Town or Mission Beach Boardwalk in  San Diego, Washington Park in Oregon or Central Park in New York City on a summers day. The carnage would be devastating.

Dr. Silinsky demonstrates how the politically correct submissive have already managed to lie to us in the national press. How people with blatant terrorist agenda have already attacked us and been covered up, out of expediency and the politically correct garbage too prevalent now.

Many things right now are altered in the name of safe space or political correctness.  Sadly, the very concept of “Unity Through Diversity” is part of the problem.  If we are not honest, if we do not believe what people say, and especially do not credit them with their actions, we will lose the war on freedom.

I am not saying we can’t be different.  I am saying we can only be unified if we have some basic common ground.  In the United States of America that means being a lover of freedom above all else.  Even safety.  To paraphrase Ben Franklin, those who give up freedom for safety deserve neither. I can live with anybody, as long as they understand, my liberty is as important to you as your liberty is.

Find how and why ISIS/ISIL believe in subjugation, servitude, and submission. You can not negotiate if the first step in their eyes, is your unconditional surrender. Who would unconditionally surrender, then negotiate the terms? That is what the Caliphate demands of us, the non-Shia-Muslim population. It is specific as well, just because you claim to be Muslim, does not make you safe.

It is an eye-opening read.  We may not think we have been at war with the Caliphate for 1400 years, but they do.  Again, does it matter what I believe or what they believe?  It is what they believe that dictates what they do and how.

Can you negotiate with that?
